In my work, I research different notions of subjectivity and authenticity through analogue and digital photography (whether camera-based or chemical/pigment-based). My practice emerges by printing in the darkroom. It arose from my understanding of being "off-side" while operating the camera.

As a photographer I consider my true position to be arbitrary.
During the moment of photographing, I feel as if I am a passive witness; a mere bystander, standing next to a frame where I can impossibly be a part of. This interpretation of being physically excluded by the frame, has put me in a dubious position regarding the making of, and reception of photographs.

Dedicated to questions on the photographer's remarkable absence and latent presence, I aim to emphasize these paradoxes by combining hand made and technological processes in my most recent work.
